Strategic Pricing Specialist

Position Summary

Responsible for generating profitable project quotations, managing market pricing strategies, and facilitating quote-to-order conversion, the Strategic Pricing Specialist will be the inside sales lead for a given territory. Working closely with the Williams outside Regional Sales Manager and the inside Customer Service Representative, this role will negotiate ongoing business by cultivating strong relationships with their counterpart within a sales agency.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide formal job quotations as requested by our sales rep
  • Relay market pricing feedback to sales management
  • Discuss new & existing projects with the regional team
  • Train agents to utilize the Williams Product Builder for quote requests
  • Negotiate price & commission levels based on overall job opportunity
  • Initiate conversation within the agency for open quote opportunities
  • Assist in resolving customer issues or job problems
  • Be the pricing & quotations expert in assigned territory
  • Learn all you can about a quote request & make follow-up a priority
  • Share ideas to increase margin & secure jobs with management
  • Communicate wins & losses of significant jobs to management
Position Requirements
  • Knowledge of lighting industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask & meet deadlines
